Boyfriend of triple homicide victim starts petition for “Cindy’s Law”

The boyfriend of one of the victim’s from the triple homicide in Utica wants to change the law regarding mental health evaluations. South Lewis coach accused of underage sex in Utica

A “community coach” at South Lewis Central School has been charged with having sex with an underage girl from the district. Anthony Ventura, 22, Boonville, was charged Wednesday by Oneida County sheriff’s deputies with third-degree rape, arraigned in Utica City Court and released on bail. In a one-on-one meeting, U.S. Senator Charles Schumer urged the incoming Postmaster General to keep the City of Utica’s Pitcher Street Post Office open. UPD seeks help in locating shots fired source

On January 28, 2015, at around 10:40 PM, Utica Police units responded to the area of Eagle Street and Kossuth Avenue in regards to shots fired. A resolution passed the Utica Common Council 8-0 that calls on Governor Cuomo to reconsider current plans to construct a new Route 5/8/12 North-South Expressway through Utica, New York. City officials to review meat processing plant and solar farm project

Dozens of Rome residents expressed their concerns for development of solar farm and a meat packing plant in the city, during a Common Council Meeting Wednesday night.
